Lucia Boffo is a singer, composer, and Professor from Argentina based in Berlin since 2019. Her music lives in between Jazz, Argentinian folk, songwriting, instrumental and experimental music. She pursued her studies in Jazz Singing at EMPA in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and later served as a faculty member in the Jazz Singing Bachelor program for four years before relocating to Berlin. In Buenos Aires she also studied improvisation, composition, and singing with many professors such as Diego Schissi, Juan Cruz De Urquiza, Guillermo Klein, Marina Rama, and Roxana Amed, just to mention a few. Currently continuing her studies at Jazz Institut Berlin (UDK) in Jazz singing and composition, where she also studied with professors such as Rabih Lahoud, Tino Derado, Heinrich Köbberling, and Celine Rudolph, just to mention some. Since 2017, Lucia has been studying Ableton Live and has also been included in a few of her sets. She has recorded many albums for several record labels: «El Club del Disco» (ARG), «Ears&eyes Records» (EE.UU), and «Inpartmaint» (JAPAN). Lucía has participated in jazz festivals playing her music throughout Argentina, Uruguay, and the United States. As a professor, Lucia has also coordinated many Scat and vocal improvisation workshops: in Argentina, Uruguay, and Germany. Currently, she is directing two Female vocal ensembles (Blue Wednesday Choir – Wind Voices), both projects are about singing jazz, pop, and South American Music. Her artistic life in Berlin is very active. She’s currently part of the Jazz scene with many projects (ZAHIR – LUCIA BOFFO GROUP – LAS VOCES – ANDRES MARINO & LUCIA BOFFO) with which she has performed in venues and Festivals like A-Trane – B- Flat – ZigZag – JAZZ WOCHE BERLIN – Donau115, REJAZZ FESTIVAL.
